New Guitar Song

It's called Guitars In the Wild and it was done on a Tascam 788. I used Cakewalk to convert it to mp3. The guitars are a Jackson Soloist, a reverse Dinky, and a Fender Jazz bass. The drums were done in Acid Pro 2.0 (I have 3.0 but I just haven't loaded it). Both the guitars and the bass were put through a POD and heavily EQ'd on the 788.

you might want to post this in the mp3 forum to get more feedback. id definetly boost the volume i cant hear a thing until my power amp is at 7. might wanna spread the mix out, its all cluttered together right smack dab in the middle. panning instruments is a wonderful thing on ears of the listener.
for instance the standard rock panning is usually:
rhythm guitars are panned hard left and right
bass dead middle
drums middle
vocals ...it depends on the effect your wanting to achieve
i usually pan solo guitar a 25%-45% right or left, it really depends on the mix.
eq and compression work wonders if used in moderation...

Thanks for the advice on the mixing. That part I'm pretty new to. I originally had the rhythm guitars panned L -R. I'll have to go back to that and see. And, I just listened to the mp3 version for the first time. Sounds quite a bit different than the 24 bit version I originally did.

I'll remix it and solicit your advice again. Thanks much. I really appreciate it.
