Just downloaded it - will burn to disc for my truck. Will be a good ride home tonight!

Did you decide which charity proceeds will go to (remember, we will need to see bank statements proving you send the cash :p)?

Cool. I've ordered a real copy (shipping was surprisingly reasonable). My nephew is being tested for autism some time soon (although my brother is pretty certain he's fine).

How does it work with the real copies - do you have them printed then provide them to the distribution company as they require them (I've seen this model on some UK sites) or do they print them for you to order (like with some self-publish websites for books)?

Wow, well good luck with that. It's obviously not a death sentence or anything, but it can be difficult at times for everyone involved.

The CDs are printed on demand. You order one, kunaki prints it up, seals it up, and sends it out. It's kind of a mysterious process actually. I get the impression that there are no humans over there. It's all robots and self-aware machines. Lol. But, whatever it is, I like it. I don't have to sit on any inventory and the quality is always very good. As long as one copy is ordered once every 180 days, it stays in their system.

MURDER at the drive-in oh yeah!!

Allright .. time for the Lt. Bob review ..... I suspect some of ya'll were waiting on me before buying one! LOL :D

First off ..... to ANYone who has waited to buy one ...... HEY! It's for the children! What the hell's wrong with you!

:D:D

Look ...... I'm gonna be straight with you ...... the best reason to get one is because it's a freakin' awesome piece of work!
I only wish I had anything half as good.

The sounds are great throughout ..... drumbs kick hard like you knew they would ......snare pops just like we all wish our snares popped and the kick is fat and tight. Cymbals sound like cymbals ..... the bass has great note definition and is punchy ..... guitars rock out with their cocks out.

Even the vocals are just right ...... VERY well chosen harmony lines that are well performed. No ..... better than that ..... the vox and harmonies are perfect!
Yes I said it.

I know there are some of you that feel this isn't your kind of music ....... well it's not mine either ......... I'm more of a Steely Dan or Jon Cleary sorta guy.

But this thing Greg has done is still in my truck's CD player after a few weeks and that never happens.
But it has happened because this CD is pretty damned close to being a masterpiece.

The writing is freakin' awesome ya'll ........ yes it's all high energy blast beat stuff but it NEVER gets repetitious, not even a little bit.
It's mind blowing how he comes up with all these little turn arounds and occasional out-of-pattern chords that make each and every song sound fresh and different.

And he uses all sorts of little details from fx's on the guitars to little parts layered behind things.
There's LOTS of little details to discover in subsequent listenings ..... you're really not gonna get bored with this because despite the apparent simplicity of the music, these are recordings with a lot of depth to them.
Literally dozens of little sonic easter eggs to find and appreciate and you'll hear new things everytime you listen to it for quite a while.
Clever wordplay too.

And greg is the king of blast beats ...... I've never heard someone play fast and precise any better than this. Don't arm wrestle with him ..... he'll yank your sternum out!

There are a few slight reprieves from the intensity but I mean slight.
'Fast Food Angel' is a 50's malt shop tune and 'El Bastardo Azul' is a dead ringer for a Ventures tune ...... I actually was trying hard to recognize which Ventures tune it must be because he captured the style and vibe and sound perfectly.
I don't think it could be done any better.
But most of the stuff is unabashedly high energy fast rock and fucking roll!

I really think he should shop it .............. it's that good. Any label that fools around with this type music would put this out so fast the CDs would still be warm from printing.
Oh, and the scuffed record surface on the CD is a nice additional touch.

I could go on but it ought to be clear by now that I'm gobsmacked by this CD and it took me in immediately with my first listen.

Why should you buy this CD?
Because it's excellent music that's why.
An example of home recording at it's very best but more than that, an example of music at it's very best.
Buy one now.

Once every 180 days is good, but it will be better if your copy is permanent on their system.

My favorite part of Lt. Bob's review..."cymbals sound like cymbals". I was on the fence but that sealed the deal.

I'm going to be ordering soon to add to the collection. I think I was awol when this came out or something.

Yeah! Where you been?

Aw man, my amp died (see other thread) and then the woman that had loaned me those yamaha drums for a couple of years took them back.

I got discouraged and quit making music. I'm starting to get the itch again though, and coming here kinda keeps me in the right frame of mind.

Fuck, that blows. Well, if you need any dumb ol punk rock drums for a song or something, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Awesome. Thanks Greg.

I'm still hoping to purchase some drums of my own, but I've been saying that for a long time...
