I'm not expert, but I think it sounds much better than the first tries in the other thread. Bass sounds deeper and snare is snappier. Seems to have limited the phase issues.

Bass drum and snare sound boxy. I'm not sure what it is or how to fix it, but I think they are a little off. Anyone else chiming in could probably give you more specific advice.

The bass drum has a definite style to the sound, but it almost sounds like an electronic kick drum (maybe you really prefer that very dry thud sound, but I personally prefer a bit of resonance). I'd like to hear the snare drum with even more presence and more off the attack (crack) on the snare (again, that could just be personal).
The cymbals seem to decay very quickly. Is that what you want? All in all, the sound almost sounds like an e-kit. Are these acoustic drums, or is it an exceptionally good sounding electrionic kit?

It's an acoustic kit. It's a pearl elx. I've been trying to get that bass drum sound for years.. I picked this kit up from my teacher for $600. The snare blows. It has no crack, just a blah sound. The hats are 1984? Paiste 2002s and the ride is a 1970s sabian.
Oh and a 2002 20" crash.

Umm.................. Is this a trick question? Even without hearing them in a full band situation and how the drums overall sit in the mix, I think it sounds fine. They sound good all by themselves, and you recorded them well. Sure, I might tune the snare up and crank the snares themselves for some crack, but that's me, and that's just a knee-jerk reaction to the raw drum sound. The kick sounds fine, and it won't likely step over the bass guitar player's toes. I'd use that sound for a song or two.

you did a nice job in capturing the kit MaVN. Sounds pretty good to me.
