song title alone..."fills lame"...LOVE IT ...i have to give the kid a bath but ill be back in a few ...
 
fill IS lame....cause this rocks....altho its short...love the stick clicks on the end.....
this COULD be a really cool song ...get Fill of his ass and into the studio....

the hard panned guitars works really well for this too...

Thanks Jamal...those clicks are Fill being obnoxious and A.D.D like he always is. Anyway, I record lots of diddies like this, not focusing on the song, but the recording. I feel that I improve a lot with each one, thats why I post them here so much. I pan guitars hard left and right almost always, I like to leave a lot of room for bass and drums. If I crave more space, I'll use a filter on the guitars further...

very nice clean recording........what are you doing for drums? live or samples? how were they recorded? i really like the snare sound

Live, of course. I am borrowing my friend's Pearl Forums (pretty bad and stiff sounding) and micing with 4 mics (Snare: 57, Kick: Beta 52, and 2 Oktava MK012s overhead). It's all I can do right now :rolleyes: . I do like where I'm going with the sound though, the kit is very stiff sounding and my Behringer mixer pres aren't very good at all...

Yeh very nice snare sound. That's a good little tune as well.

4 mics is what I'm aiming for my kit. The delta44 just arrived today. Hopefully I'll get something sounding crisp and clear like that
 
very cool.....just 3 more minutes of the same kind of stuff and you'll be all set....I really like your bass sound man...drums are super cool too...the guit is sweet as well...a little loud in the mix but sweet none the less...cool little ditty..

:D Thanks for the replies, guys, (Rhymed.) What are you guys listening on? I think everything I do sounds better on my monitors, I alway hear muddyness on my computer speakers.
