I'm so open to suggestions it's pathetic. I'm eyeing an upgrade within the next year and here is what I'm planning...let me know what you would change or do differently so that I may research properly! Any help is much appreciated! Some of the stuff in the list, I already have. BTW, I will be mostly recording rock, hard rock, and modern rock....all that is rock.
I'm not sure on the actual computer that I'll have but I know it will most likely be dual monitor and have 4 gigs of ram. It will also most likely be a rack mount unit.

I know I don't really have anything in the way of drum mics and such but I use BFD. I will continue doing so until the urge strikes me to mic up a kit. Also, before this upgrade, I'm going to be treating my room. Just FYI so you don't suggest I do that first.
