Well, after recording on an old D8 for several years now, I decided to upgrade. I was going to get myself a Korg D16XD but since I need a computer at home anyway, I decided to take the plunge and try some PC recording instead. I am having a local clone maker build me a PC....2.8 ghz, 1 gig ram, 250gb HD, good power supply, CDRW, XP, USB/Firewire....no other software. Should I just go ahead and hang myself now or should I stay alive long enough to try to enjoy this. I started to do a poll but I hate polls. I'm thinking about one of the firewire controllers....Tascam, Yam 01X, Digi002. Anything else I'm going to need on this PC? I keep getting a feeling I'm gonna hate myself for this.
