ok guys i just unboxed a compaq 5430.1.8ghz, 512 dram, 80 gig hd,sound blaster platinum.i also have a couple of programs,emagic-logic platinum 5.01,cakewalk 2002,cakewalk sonar x1 1.02.what i want to know is,can i hook the vs 840ex direct to my hard drive via the external zip conection?if so any links explaining the process and software needed to make the handshake?it seems that you could eliminate a couple of conections.i'll make a similar post at vsplanet,and on the computer forum here.thanks for any assistance,or for stopping me from blowing up my computer.
