New computer for recording

OK, I have it down I think, here is the computer, please let me know if there is anything here that will cause a problem:

Intel 845 MB w/Intel Chipset (PESV?) 533 FSB
P4 2.4
1 gig DDR PC2100
2 80 gig hard drives
64 meg sis video card
on board sound (I will install 3 Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 cards)
52 x MSI cdrw
Windows XP Home

This set up is $985 and this is the way I am leaning. There are 6 PCI slots (one used by firewire card), 2 memory slots which I will use up.

Alternate:
ASUS P4P 800D 800 FSB
1 gig DDR PC3200

This MB gives me 800 FSB, faster ram (pc3200), 4 memory slots, 5 PCI slots, on board firewire and costs about $75 more. I think its overkill.

What do you think?
Thanks.

I would go with the alternative...nothing is overkill !
That is the board I bought last week(ASUS P4P800 Deluxe) with a 2.4g 800MHZ FSB CPU.
I also went with the WD Raptor 10,000 RPM SATA Drive
I would also reconsider your CDRW choice to Yamaha or Plextor.
If you intend to use this for recording only, then the video card may be a bit much as high performance graphics can conflict with recording and steal resources. I keep mine at 16 bit standard.
