Slackmaster2K

Gone
The old hr_comp_cd email address was eaten by hotmail. If you sent a message to it and didn't get a reply, then don't ever expect one :)

From now on, please send comp cd emails to compcd@slackmaster2000.com , or you can click the little email button in my profile.

Strange thing! My hotmail address also ,after 3 1/2 years is no longer accessible either!

That makes sense

This project is so old that even my contact info is no longer valid.

It's so old that the contracts are invalid, but don't tell anyone.

Doi!

We are working on it...Brad will vouche for me!

Working on What? Im curious to what your talking about specifically. I see complilation CD and Im interested in finding out more! Any volunteers in explaining some history at least?

Peace,
Dennis

This forum contains the entire history of the comp CD. Set your view to the past year or so and read the "Update" posts!

heh heh...I did go back....and it got uglier the farther I investigated....I guess I could consider myself disqualified on many of the requirements, low posts, new member, have an mp3.com site (though I didn't do the p4p) Im under 6ft tall and my penis is small. Not to mention my material probably isn't niched for proper categorization, lack of talent and I play more than one instrument. On the Good side I have been to Bozeman Montana, I have relatives out there, My Aunt Marion I believe is buried there, she died at 104 years old, I can't remember at the moment what my relatives names are because old ones keep checking out while new one keep popping up. My sister was born in Great Fall and my dads familiy is from some non-existent town form the past? Do you know anyone with the name Pete Molenda? Then again on the downside I do own a yamaha MD8 and an Ibanez guitar. I can't play stairway to heaven and Ive never owned a Stratocaster made in the USA. With that said Ill guess Ill avoid this thread in the future as not to congest it with further rhetoric.

Peace,
Dennis

Well, don't worry, the future of the comp CD from my point of view is up in the air. The CURRENT CD will be released. But by the time a second one comes around the rules and players will be different!

I am just poking my head in here to vouch for Slack - he is indeed working on it.

I know this thing has been long in the works, but I have to say that, IMHO, it is going to be worth it. I doubt any other self-supporting web community involved in such an endeavor could have done better. In short, I think S2K has done (& is doing) a kick ass job.

And my plan is working perfectly!!! For someone who hates Boston as much as Slack does, you would think he would do everything in his power to NOT pull a Tom Scholz! ;)
Bwahaa heh hahahahahahah - hooow.

Geez, judging from what atomictoyz wrote, you'd think this project has some sort of sordid past? Checkered history?

Is it really that bad? I'm afraid to look.

Im sorry, I was just being a smarty pants because of the large amount of things that got sorted out through the last year or so. So many questions asked and answered, so I threw in some unrelated tidbits of information. I would love to be included on any compilation CD, but if you ever went to my mp3 site or the nowhere one, you'd see why it would be in your best interest not to taint this bbs with my music...If you think Boston is bad, well...

Its really not that bad Brad, really really!

Peace,
Dennis

Ok, Slack-ster,

I've followed a few of your posts, and I was wondering, was the CD still in beta-testing, and when do you think the actual CD release date will be? What, if anything, is holding up the project, at this point? Will you be duping CDs yourself, or are you going to have a duplication house produce them?

I'm sure some of these answers are in other previous posts, but I'm not gonna search back, what for? I'll just wait for the 'release date' memo.

-Your CD project sounds really cool, in concept, and your description of the beta-discs make it sound even better, and I hope you succeed. I hope the disc is released soon, and I hope the disc is good.

-It's been really, really long in production, now, and I can see it has been practically torturing the people who are waiting for it.

Good luck. /DA

PS, Slack, remember to send a copy to your mom.
