Just when I thought there was no way mics could get any cheaper:

Behringer announced the C-2 "matched pair" of small condensers with pads and LF rolloff switches, microphone stand adapters, windscreens, stereo-bar and transport case. Suggested list is $59.99 -- for the pair.

Unbelievable.

even i feel a little funny about that...but what the hell..somebody will try it

"They are sold as a matched pair—perfect for stereophonic recording—for a price you wouldn’t even consider it bought you a single one."

I don't know who writes their copy (or translates it from German), but, not only is this statement grammatically unsound, I wouldn't even consider it bought me a single one, either.???

the stereo bar would come in handy. I wouldn't use them on quiet sources, but its nice to have o/h options... they'd be good to take to gigs to to record the show from the mix booth without the worry of them getting smashed or stolen... I wonder what process was used to "match" the mics? my bet is it would have been something like "yep, they are both stamped c-2, thats close enough". I was surprised not to see a behri tube or ribbin mic come out with the last lot of products.

Wow. You could throw away the mics and still be ahead of the game.

Is there any way to mod these into vibrators?
So that when you're so occupied with doing music but your girl wants to...
You can just let her use the mic... And you're still on control as you turn it on from the mixer... :D

Yes, the operative word is unbelievable.

Don't hold your breath - they anounced the C1 in April of 2004, and it still hasn't appeared. MF had it for $29.95. Now it's listed for 1st quarter of 2005 also. They must have copied some one a little too closely and had a stop put on it until the courts can work it out.
