Beat's not bad. I wanna say I've heard it before in Reason? You didn't take someone else's melody on one of the demo tracks and tweak it did you Lapse? You know I'm not trying to bust your chops though.

Unfortunately, Yea. I took the melody from Reason, and tweaked it to my likings and changed it up so _I_ could use it, it sounded tight to me, so I had to work with it. I saw no harm in it, until you said that, now I feel like a poser.

Seriously, if you want to rap then do that.
If you want to be a beat maker and/or produce, do that too.

BUT, don't try to do it all at once. Get your game up in one area to where you're comfortable with it and then flip it to something new. You're young so you've got time to learn some interesting shit.

I'll definitely focus on beat production for now, but I'm still going to keep writing and trying to get better in the aspect of things. I can't just "stop" writing, I've been writing all my life, mostly poetry. But, I'm moving it in another direction now.

Give this kid a few years in the right direction and he's gonna develop into somethin. And that's coming from someone who's critiqued him from damn near day one.

Just don't let your head get too big and forget your folks.

lets hope you're right, I'd love for that to come into play...I'm now considering a switch of careers from computer technician to audio engineering, but I'm not sure at this point.

Also, don't take the "ONE" sample into account as I do that for everything, because that's TOTALLY not true, I make my own sounds, and I make my own melodies in everything else I do, but that one caught my ear, and I'm still tweaking it, to work. So, yea'.. I guess I figured, if it's there, it can be used. Right?

Heh not that I'm trying to bust your chops homie, but take that as a learning step. We've all been there. But think of it this way. Maybe you feeling like a "poser" is what you need to step your game up from that to prove to yourself that you can (and will) do better. Challenge yourself sometimes.

Never stop writing. Especially if it's like second nature to you. Just learn to critique your work as if you were someone else listening. If you look at older stuff you've written and think it's stupid then it usually means you're making progress with your wordplay. I do it all the time and I tend to challenge myself when I write new songs (like seeing how long in a verse I can go before I curse or seeing how long I can go without using a first person word). I would advise you do the same. It will only help your skills lyrically.

But on the flipside if you're messing with Reason now, I can probably lend a hand and help you tweak what you already have without having to use pre-finished work. I don't do FL but I'll make beats in Reason in my sleep or inebriated LOL.

I got frustrated with FL back when it was Fruityloops 3. One of these days I'll have to play with FL Studio again. I know I have it somewhere. I found Reason and learned it in about a week or so. Been hooked on it ever since.

I'm hooked to FL because of it's Simplicity, but I love Reason's wide range. I just can't seem to figure it out, I'm not very "Audio Engineering" Savvy, so I can't necessarily just jump on it and be makin' tracks left and right, I'm learning though, step by step. I'll eventually be 100% Reason, but for now, it's partially both , ya feel me?

yo pretty decent beat.. i like the guitars but the bass is missing. a simple baseline would have made this beat sound much richer.
drumz sound cool but i think the snare doesn't have enuff punch. Try giving it more attack when compressing.

UMM Good piano sample, but taht snare is hurting the track, sounds liek it wa stetched to far, good delivery, strings wer enice, you deifnately want to add bass to this, bass is one of teh most important element of hip/hop and almosta ll music, it glues all teh instruments together, just figur oeut teh octave na dthe key and throw some notes on
