I'm not sure if this has been brought up before (I did a search), but I found an interesting download on the Neumann site.
They have the 1998 and 2003 Sound Engineering Contest CDs available for download on the site, along with the annotated solutions to the questions.
Many of the questions are useful for mic'ing practices. For example, one of the questions asks what polar pattern was used to mic a particular ensemble (sound clip can be played). The solutions are available, and they explain the reasoning behind the answer.
