I like it. You're a good guitar player, and your timing is great. The high end is missing a little on the EQ, but other than that, good job.

quite a provoking piece. I had to try and stay out of the message in order to hear the mix like I should. The whole thing has a dried and framed feel to it like a displayed painting. The low end of the guitar seemed to get just a tad muddy, and just a bit of crispness might be needed on the other end. I really enjoyed this.

I liked everything except for the solo. The shredding is a bit out of place (it sounds a bit 'edited' too). It actually made me laugh, but I guess that's not the reaction you're looking for.

I hear ya Pedullist!The solo parts need work.Al Di Meola is what I was shooting for,but I came up short.I become bored and impatient if Im away from my distortion and wah wah for too long.I'll go back and fix it up when I have a mind to.Thanx for the listen,and I'm glad to have given you a laugh!

yeah, a bit muddy on the low end overall...just put in some highs i'd say too.....
the solo came out sounding pretty "high end" though.
anyway, i like it though. haha. it's cool.
for the solo, i think you should do a little volume envelope editing in there (when you cut out a section....it goes "snap!")...ha. you can just fade those out, and it'd sound a lot more natural (also fade them each IN too!)

First of all, I had to tell you...
You got a very very good fingerstyle technic on nylon acoustic guitar
. Keep practise on your speed, I can see, soon you'll be on the same level with Al Di Meola. The song is well written. It's just the recording & mixing session you need to pay more attention. As I heard it's a bit too "boomy", and I heard somehow "odd" mix. The rhytm was polished by chorus & reverb, but the lead part is rather "too dry". They seem not being played at the same room/stage. It would be good if you mix 'em with similiar reverb. Looks like those people above have given you a good suggest, so I wouldn't say much. Keep goin' fella.

Reminds me of "Orchid" on Black Sabbath's Master of Reality album, with the pedal note melodies and the slightly out-of-tune guitars.
I'm just read that you were going for Demiola style. I used to listne to a lot of his stuff.
I think Dimeola would have saved the "shredding" for more involved rhythmic structures. The lead and the rhtyhm guitars don't go all that well together IMO. Sounds like you have pretty strong hands though...so maybe a few fast runs with more specific purpose would sit well here.

I concur with the other folks that have posted so far, the guitars sound dead.. The playing is phenominal (did I spell that right?, I tried really hard) Sounds like your playing with year old strings ore something... Your a god damn maniac man. It sounds to me like it wants to be a beautiful brilliant classical tune wailing out in utter misery.. Id like to hear it alot slower and played with alot more misery... not that I want you to be miserable but thats just what I hear in this song.
Is the dullness something eq can fix? I dont no how to use eq very well yet if you cant tell.

i think mic placement woulda been a better bet then tryin to fix with eq...although its worth a try.
it gets boomier when you point more at the whole of the acoustic, and more "high end" as you go up. the good median is usually at about the 12th fret (pointed at the 12th fret)...but of course mess around a bit to find the sweet spot to your ears....eh?

Thanx to all!I definately feel I have a better handle on what's wrong and whats right.
