Needing help with drums !

Hey guys,

As in my last thread I was asking advice on my MIX. I found that my major problem was with the drums (even if I tried to mix it like three times). I was wondering if maybe you would give it a try to mix just the drums. I'm having hard time to mix drum I guess, don't know if it's just HOW I mix it or that the sample aren't good.

So here's the song with drums, song withouth drum, and the drums sample.

Drums aren't bad in my opinion, what you really want? More punch, a warmer drum?
 
Well we are working on his demo. I produce/record/mix his original song. He's very talented.
 
You've got the reverb down from the original mix, it seems?

I think it may just be kind of a weenie snare tone. Not a lot of crack to it. It almost sounds like brushes, which will always limit the ability of it to sound rocky.

As per the other thread, I think the drums may deserve some re-arrangement rather than trying to enhance the existing one. Is it programmed/sampled or a real drummer's recording?
