I own a Fast Track Ultra USB preamp, and I would like to hear what I've recorded from my computer speakers. But since the preamp is connected to the computer, no sound will come straight from the computer. Is there a way to have the sound come out from the computer as well as the preamp?

I know i could connect my speakers right to the preamp instead, but then i would need a mini-jack>jack adaptor(does that even exist?).

As long as the fast track is plugged in your usb port you cannot get sound from your computer because the fast track is acting as your sound card. There are lots of different adapters you can get. I think what you need is a 1/8in to 1/4in jack. It will look like this

make sure you get one with stereo(2 black rubber strips on the jack)

The Fast Track works as an output device as well as an input device. You can play out of the headphone jack or out of the balanced outs or RCA outs. (I have the Fast Track Pro, but I'd be surprised if it's much different.) There's a knob you need to turn to select between monitoring the inputs directly and hearing the output from the computer, but it will work; you don't need to jury-rig anything.
