I need help to get my midi tracks that I recorded in Cubase SX into audio so I can make a wave file from the tracks...do you know of a good way to do that?

I'm not a MIDI type, and I'm not exactly sure how Cubase handles that aspect (not in the manual?).

If nothing else, get the TapeIT VST plugin and put it on the insert. It'll receord a WAV file in real time from whatever is going to your soundcard through that insert. You'll have to line the tracks up later... Maybe a quick 16th at the head of every track so you have something visual to lock on with...

What sound source are you using?

U will need an outboard module or a vst instrument .

Tapeit? it seem i learn of a new plug in every other day! :)

I am using a Yamaha P-200 Piano and a Nordlead2 Synth
These are going through a Midisport 8x8.....what i,m trying to do is get a pretty good quality transfer from these midi synths into audio(to mix with the guitars, vocals ect)....is there a really basic way to do that?thanks for your replys and help in this matter...can I use Tape- it to turn over the midi to audio?seems I will need some hardware unit, but what is commonly used in a cubase studio setup to do the midi to audio thingy?hehehe...thanks again for any ideas on this.

You need to hook up a cable from the keyboard audio outs to the line input on the soundcard. Record the audio tracks in Cubase.

If you want better quality you need a good soundcard. Something like the Audiophile 2496 would be a good start if you only need to record 2 channels at a time.
