Need Studio Monitors

I have a Digidesign 002 Rack, and no monitors. I have a decent set of stereo headphones, but I'm scared that listening through headphones all of the time is going to damage my hearing. I would like a pair of very reasonably priced studio monitors that still give a fairly good sound.

Any suggestions?
 
headphones alone will not damage your hearing- listening through them at obnoxious levels will. but you're going the right direction looking for studio monitors, however- you shouldn't be mixing on headphones anyway. though i can't vote for them from experience yet, take a look at the wharfdale diamond pro 8.2 actives- they seem to be pretty well liked around here, and are what i'm buying soon. deepwater, a member of this board, sells them for approx 300.
 
I just got my Yamaha msp5, and I really loved them, exelent sound, really open and broad, and finally the bass is really well represented through those 5`s.

I got mine real cheap, maybe lady fortuna smile to you as well.
