Need some monitoring help.

I think its my mixing or something but I keep hearing that my drums dont hit that hard.I dont think this is a volume problem but a eq one .Help me by telling me what I should do as far as getting a better all around clear and powerful sound if i don't have it already.
 
well.. what i like to do is add a little bit of reverb on my drums... not a lot, but just a tiny bit... to give it character...

also, for my snare depending on how i want the sound.. to hit harded i usually turn up the mids and his slightly... to give it some snap.
 
Hopefully dis iz helpful...Since u have FL go 2 FX and clik fruity compressor and change ur type to Hard. Also turning the db up a little on da kick help. IMO drums are about 75% of a solid beat so they gotta be right
 
just make sure you dont clip with your drums.

my method is to usually just normalize the drum... turn the volume on that channel up all the way.... then eq it to make it sound right...
