There's this phat bassline i want sample off this Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek album, for my demo I know I need a sampler but what can I get for $100-$215US? Someone please feed this knowledge?

Cheapest sampler I know of (well, it's only cheapest if you already have a computer to put it in!!!) is a Creative Sound Blaster Live with Sound Fonts card or a Turtle Beach Montego II card with DLS (downloadable sounds). Either can be had for between $50-80. You can record the sound you want off the CD and use whatever editor (Vienna Studio with the SB, don't-know-what with the TB) to create a Sound Font or DLS file that you can load into the card's MIDI synth engine and trigger from a MIDI keyboard like any other MIDI instrument.
