I want some really thick speaker cable, for touring. At least 10awg. I cant really find where to buy it in bulk online. Checked redco and markertek. Any other plancs you can think of?

partexpress has pro sound 10awg, but it's 3 conductor. Or they have in-wall 10awg that's 2 conductor.

How long are these cable runs? At 250 ft, the difference between 12 awg and 10 awg into 4 ohms is only -0.6dB

Why so big? 12 is heavy enough for most anything up to 50 feet.

Anyway.......

If you google 10 gauge speaker wire, there are tons of places, with a wide variety of prices.

10 gauge is about the biggest that will fit into a lot of connectors.

12AWG is big enough for 100-150' you don't loose that much power. Maybe 10 watts. You'd have to cut your power in half to get a 3db drop in audio.

I advocate the use of 1/2'' copper pipe. You will have to bend it to conform to the speaker path, but it is the balls when you get it working.

Just go to Home Depot and buy some long 12/3 Extension cords and put new ends on them. It's a lot cheeper.

How long would it take before some drunk plugs your speakers into a wall outlet.

If it was a sub, it would sound cool for a second, anyway.
