Need some help with recording

Hey
I need a little help with some recording. I am trying to record a band at my church and put them on a cd. I do not have access to much equipment and just need a little help if you would like to help me i can give you some more info just looking for some ideas

Read the information on the main page. It should give you lots of ideas. Also, what equipment do you have and what's your budget for additional gear?
 
Well Just have a 24-4 chan Mackie an eq unit and reverb.. mainly for live stuff i guess but i need to find a way to record (i dont have anything to record to!)
 
I presume that you'll be recording the master channel, right? If so, a simple DAT recorder should yield good results and a decent soundcard to get it to your computer for editing and burning would be all you need.
