Heres a couple of really rough songs i recorded recently. They have no effects, equalization, nothing. I need advice on everything, I'm learing this completely on my own and recording in a 8'x12' room with no acoustic blocks or sound proofing. I'm recording on a cheapish superlux mic to a tascam interface on Cubase LE4. I'm thinking of purchasing a new interface soon(suggestion?) and a Shure SM7B, good idea? Also does anyone know any commonly used effects or vsts for rap/hip-hop? I was thinking about heading to a local studio as well if i can work up the balls, anybody have comments on studio vs home recording? Lemme know whats good fellas, i need help and advice, i love doin this shit and ima keep doin it no matter what, but i'd like to hear what everybody thinks. If anybody is willing to put some time in, it would be a huuuuge help to have an example of a mixed version of one of my songs to use an example for future recording and manipulation, i would appreciate it greatly.
