Need some advice on a few microphones

I'm semi-new with recording, and I'm just looking to try and find some decent mics, to record my style. I want to record my acoustic guitar, and also record my vocals.

If you want to take a listen, and maybe get an idea for what mics might be best for each, let me know, seeing as how this is my first post, I cannot post links. I'm not looking to spend thousands on one single mic, but I am willing to spend a pretty penny.



Also, I was thinking about getting an sm81 for the guitar, and also an at4033 for the vocals. Planning on getting an interface, and I also don't know which to go for when it comes to that. What's the difference in them?

All of these decisions are based off of reading other posts, so I really have no idea what's up.

Right now, you'll laugh, I just use this cheap condenser, and plug directly into the mic jack on my sony vaio...It's not right.

Have you read through the sticky threads at the top of the forum? If not, that's unquestionably the best thing for you to do here at this point. I'm a perpetual newbie, so I go back and scan through them from time to time.
