Man, I have seen some great looking layouts in this forum, of studios and the dimension plans. What do you guys use, and what do you recommend that is good & inexpensive!
We are starting a new building that is 24'x48' and need to finish our studio plans.

Thanks,
Sponge Bob

Those are the ones I use myself:

For autocad stuff I use Intellicad. It's a cheap autocad clone that is completely compatible with autocad (in EVERY aspect). It costs about USD 190,- www.cadopia.com

For 3D design I use a FREE version of SoftCad. You can pick it up at www.softcad.com and it's completely functional. There are also several great tutorials there for download that will get you up and running in a couple of hours.

Peter.

Also check out Smartdraw. You can download a trial version from their website. It's a cool program because you can save your drawing files in multiple formats once you're done working on them (gif, pdf, jpeg, etc.)
