Ok, here's the situation.
I'm trying to record songs I have written accompanied by my acoustic guitar playing. I'm using a mixer plugged in to my line in jack along with cool edit 1.2. I'm pretty happy with the quality of the recording. Here is the issue I have. If I record the song in parts, verses and choruses, instrument part and then vocal part, I have a hard time getting the verses and chorus to sound like they go together seemlessly. I also have a hard time making sure the vocal and the instrumental match up. If I record all the instrumental all they way through I sturggle because I always have some string buzz or something somewhere that ticks me off. Can I get rid of the string buzz? How do you guys go about recording your stuff? I really appreciate the help!
