Hey Out there! I can use help from anybody that feels like taking the time. I am a vocalist/Pianist in Portland. I am working on a couple of projects with a writer in St Louis and a guitarist in Salem. We send CD's back and forth and I have gone into study to lay down my ideas in the past on top of theirs. This has gotten too expensive and I have decided to check into getting a setup to record at home. A local shop here in Portland recomended the Yamaha MD4 or MD8, a reverb machine and a mic to get started. However, I started thinking about it--I have a kick but computer 500mhz and I have heard that there may be some software out there that could be great for what I want to do. Basically I want to take CD's that already have music on them and record my own vocal and occasional piano track onto the songs and then record it onto a new CD...I do have a CD Burner. Can any of you studs give me a clue on what the best direction would be to go. Thanks a lot
