Need more inputs for my Mbox 2

Thanks for the help so far guys, been looking at most of those pre amps and they're really expensive here in the U.K. I might be better off getting a Digi 002 rack used on ebay, they seem to be going for about £300. What are the Pres on the 002 like? Would there be a noticable difference between those pres and say my Mbox 2 or even one of the preamps listed above?

Yes, I also think a 002 would be the way to go, the preamps on the 002 are either better or as good as the ones on the MBOX. You could also really expand your XLR/TRS inputs by buying an ADAT and plugging it in to the 002. In my university they have a 002 using two ADATs for a total of 16 Inputs, Id say a 002 for the long run. You can get it used for a really good price on ebay, I actually found a couple used ones for a cheaper price than an MBOX 2.

Edit: Sorry, they have two 002s thats why I thought one of them ran with two ADATs. But with one 002 you can have 18 inputs, the standard ones from the 002 (4 MIC/line + 4 line) and 8 additional XLR/TRS from an ADAT (through the optic ADAT lightpipe) and two more from the SPDIF inputs.

digi001 compatibility ?

what versions of protools is the oo1 compatible up to?
and i see it has 8 inputs, so if i ran my board , which has 4 sub group outs, into 4 seperate in's on 001, then ran whatever else cold into the 001, they would each have their own pt track from the subs and each of the di's otherwise used too?
very intreaguing if so, i have been a mbox then to mbox2 user for years, and some in the start with no board pre mbox. never realized what i can jump to with a digi . gotta go, bitch is in heat and whining! thanks in advance for any insight

I don't think the 001's go to much further than 6.9 or something like that, so it would not be worth purchasing one. I could be wrong, but I don' think so.
