need info on tascam424mk11

i purchased a 424 on ebay and im getting along ok with it so far but i am very new to this .. So is it possible to hook this thing up to my computer if so what software would i need and how ? Im only interested in making demos for my band. Any help is appreciated....Thanks

You need to decide how you want to use your PC in conjuction with the MKII. If you plan on mixing down to the PC, all you need is an audio card and any audio application. Sound Forge, Cool Edit Pro, Wavelab, etc.

If you're looking to use the MKII for tracking and then dumping all 4 tracks to the PC, you'll need an audio card with 4 independent inputs and an audio program that supports multiple channels. Cool Edit Pro, Vegas Pro, Wavelab, Samplitude, Cakewalk/Sonar, Cubase, etc.
