Need help

I record with this fast track pro usb interface and I need to know what I do so that I can hear my vocals as I record them over the instrumental. I haven't used this is such a long time I forgot how to do or If I ever could do it. If you could help i would appreciate it. sounds like you need to enable direct monitoring on the track you are recording in your recording software.

You should be able to do this through the interface's software mixer that it comes with, or through your DAW like fuzz said.

Doing it through the interface's software mixer won't let you hear your voice with whatever FX you might have on it, if any. But it's a good option if you are experiencing latency when doing it through your DAW.

Doing it through your DAW should let you hear yourself + whatever FX you have on the track. But this depends on what DAW software you're using. In Reaper, it's as easy as clicking the "Input monitoring" button on the track. Different programs will call it different things...Input monitoring, live monitoring, live input monitoring, etc.

Look it up in your program.

Thanks for the help. I'm having trouble finding the option. I use cool edit pro to record.
