Need help...

I am debating which type of mic to buy with my fostex MR-8.

Can anyone recommend a microphone that could record vocals and instruments all in one? I am trying to save money.

what will you be recording the most at this point.. the sm57 would be a good dynamic and the SP b1 or the mxl 67g would be a good condensor

Just remember, with the SM57/MR8 combo, you'll need an external preamp to get a decent level. Get one with phantom power (M-Audio DMP3; SP-VTB1) and you can use the SPB1 or any other condensor as well.
 
the mr8 doesnt have phantom power? didnt know that
 
The MR-8 doesn't have phantom power, that's why I'm trying to find a good dynamic mic. I was just trying to find one microphone that could record both in order to save some money. Besides, it's just going to be me recording 1 track at a time. I will mostly be recording acoustic guitar anyway.
