Hi, everyone.

I created and recorded a song, all by myself (as I usually do) and I'm mixing it. The song is not finalized, but it's almost there. The thing is, I'm having trouble mixing my vocals. I'd like some opinions on what could be wrong with it, for example, if there's too much reverb, or maybe the vox track needs a little more compression, or maybe it's just an eq issue. I recorded my vocals with an SM-58 through a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer (first record with new mic, so I'm still learning it), and I sang a little bit far from what I was used to with my old bad mics, because of the popping stuff ("p" and "b"). I used to sang with my lips almost touching the mic. So, I posted 2 tracks (before, and after vox).

or, if it doesn't work:

I appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Hello the firsts words it feels to have too much reverb, but when everything comes in, they fit perfectly... excellent arranging, instrumental and vocally... this song rocks. I love it.

Do you use the same treatment for the verses and chorus for the vocals?

Amazing job!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say: In the first verse, I put some extra slap delay (Nomad Oilchan Echo Plugin) on vocals, to compensate the lack of arrangements (because this verse is just Acoustic Guitars, Piano and Vox), and to imprint a nice "touch" to it. But, maybe I overdid it. Yeah, all the lead vox has the same treatment (except, maybe, volume treatment, and I may have changed the distance of the mic when I sang, but I don't think so).
I only changed the treatment in backing vocals. I put a bit of delay and doubled the tracks.
And, I'm really glad with your good comments about the song itself (arrangement, etc). Thank you!

The vox are only a problem on the first verse - there is too much short reverb IMO. More subtle longer rev would be better I think - after that they are fine. Good song, arrangement and mix. Enjoyed listening.

Thanks! I'll take a look in the first verse. But, I think reverb is too blurry in all song, and I'm gonna do something about it.

Nice range of instrumentation and sounds. Vox sound good to me, as does the song as a whole. Nice job
