Hello, I'm setting up a home studio. I have two laptop's: Sony VAIO and HP. The Sony is the newest, but when I try to record generates a lot of hiss. I bought an Interface Scarlett 2i4 and and Microphone TLM 103. All cables are high quality. The problem is, when I record in both computers, there are noise (more than normal).
I would like to know what is generating the noise. I'm really interested in work with the Sony one, but I was reading about that recording noise is a general problem as result of its thin size. Is there any way to avoid it?
I record in Sony Vegas, Sound Forge band Adobe Audition.
Additionally, I'm going to connect an Avalon VT 737 SP and a couple of studio monitor.
May be the interface is the problem, and I should buy another, but before go to return it to the store I would like to know what could be a good solution to fix this problem please?
