Need Help With My Home Studio

ive just bought a xenyx 502 mixer with pre-amp and 48v, a kam usb h100 soundcard and a jts js-1x1 condenser microphone i have the mic connected to the mixer, the mixer from main output to the soundcards input on the phono switch but it still dosent seem to work on audacity and cool edit 2 or anything i have so any suggestions what the problem might be?

have you told your recording program that you want to run audio in and out of your usb soundcard?

Also, don't forget to turn on Phantom power to the mic.

Did you install the drivers for the interface? Does your computer recognize it as being a USB device plugged in?

there was no drivers with it i think its plug n play , and how do i run phantom to the mic, ive checked the instructions and it has got it .

Phantom power should just be a switch on the mixer either for the channel or all the channels. THe mixer or preamp will supply the power. Some condensers will have the option for a battery to supply phatom power.
