Need help with drum sound

I am using 5 mics to mic my kit, but I am unable to get a big sound. Also it doesn't seem very large in the stereo field. I understand that when recording guitar you double tracks and pan to make the guitar large, but what can you do with drums?

If you have been close micing try moving the mics back a little.
