Alright, well I picked up a copy of Logic 5 Platinum from a friend for $50 since he'd already moved to Macintosh to upgrade to the latest version. I just got the M-Audio 1814 and it seems to work fine with every other program (it works fine in Sound Forge, I can record audio and what not, but I can't get it to record in Logic) but not in Logic. I'm not sure if I'm setting up the Audio settings right, but I can't seem to see where I would under Audio Driver and Audio Driver 2 select the correct settings for the sound card. I was using a friend's mac with another soundcard that had Logic 6.xx and I'm looking for a program that has that kind of functionality for recording vocals over hip-hop beats. Is this outdated version of Logic not the best way to go?

Nothing wrong with the Logic 5 series.
In your audio driver 1 page, do not check anything.
On Audio Driver page 2, check ASIO and click and hold the popdown menu to select the m-audio card from the list. Reboot Logic and walla ;)
