Need Help, Please

Hey all, I need some help on this mix.
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to improve it.
The main thing I can tell is the guitars need to be brighter...
But other than that I need some help.

There's no vocals yet as I'd like to get a better mix
Before I ruin it with my crappy voice...

I liked this song.
Kind of hardcore/punk thing.
Kit sounds good.
Little more 5-7k on the snare might be nice.
Only thing id say is the guitars sound a little cheap, in terms of the distortion sound itself.
A tube amp would do nicely here.
It sounded like you used a Boss metal Zone?
Other than that id say nice balance/good song.

Need more chunk? More grit?

Just a tube a amp and a sm57 man.
That will get you alot closer id say.

Hmm just sound like you turned up the guitar part in the mix to me.
Wich buried the drums a little too much for my taste.
Do you not have a tube amp?

Of course not... I have 1 amp. An early 70's Kustum 150W 2x12.
I record direct (clean) then "re-amp" with effects.
