I only have 80 bucks and I am looking for some cheap but good monitors does anyone know of any

Yo Jam-man:Well, considering your budget, you might as well use PC monitors for a while until your funds build up.
You can scout around for "used" monitors on the net; however, you won't be getting much for 80 pezzutos.
You might look at the Bose PC monitors for about 99 bucks--they would probably be better than beer-soaked cabs with frizzled wires.

Wow, 80 bucks, that's tough.
How about the Edirol/Roland MA-7A? They seem to go for around $99.
Or maybe the Edirol/Roland MA-1EX.
Of those two I'd go for the MA-7A. I'll bet they sound surprisingly good for the price. I bought a pair of small Roland monitors for use with my home stereo system and they sound good. Not as small as the MA-7A, but still I've been happy with the sound for the money.

We're talking about $80-99 here. So we need to be realistic.
The equation is: the best for the money. With the understanding that the money is rock bottom, therefore you won't be getting monitors as good as you could for even $300.
But if the limit is truly $80-99, then I think these will be as good and/or better than anything else you'll find that price range. And I personally would take them over multi-media style PC monitors.
I know a guy that uses these or similar Edirol/Roland monitors on his video editing rig. He does some audio editing too, but obviously not the detailed kind of music mixing you are talking about. Still, he is quite happy with them. Especially for how cheap they are.
The biggest issue for any small monitor is the bass response. That's just something you'll have to learn to compensate for until you get larger monitors.
But we are talking about under a hundred dollars for a pair of monitors. If it were me, I'd do a little more research but these would be at the top of my list unless something else really jumped out at me.

Yo Alberto--Happy Spring.The old saying about more money = better something or another, isn't always true; however, with monitors, and some other gear, more money does mean a better end result.
Now, you don't have to go into mega-bucks but, "For a Few Dollars More," you can get a better result depending on what piece of gear. Monitors kind of paddled along as passive until someone discovered powered monitors. By no means am I any expert on powered monitors; however, when I got my Adam 7s==wow! What a great difference. Thump and Bump the speakers was no problem. I still have my Event SPs plugged in and use them; but for mixing, it's the Adam 7s.
Now for 100 bucks what technology can one expect? Not much really. So, if a person trying to get along and record, PC monitors or tin cans will do the job. It's amazing what a touch of reverb will do for tin cans. But, the translation to a CD doesn't quite make it with many monitors, including some that cost a bunch of pezzutos.
We all do what we can. There are so many really bright folks who share their talents on this site that it makes it possible for a beginner to record and enjoy even with PC monitors.

Unless there is some type of mixing emergency I would recomend saving up and getting some better speakers when you can afford it. Anything you buy now will just be crap that you will have to replace later with $80 less cash.
