Hi there All, I'm looking to start out with home recording & need alot of advice on EVERYTHING involved! The type of recording I'm going to be doing is vocal onto backing tracks. The equipment I have at the moment is: A standard 1Ghz Celeron, with 190Mb RAM, x1 CD-ROM & x1 CDR-ROM (both 52X), x1 30Gb hard drive & standard PC speakers (Note: have also got a small mixed variety of spare hi-fi speakers ranging from 6 to 8 ohm impedance & 80 to 100Watts). As for software I recently bought the ANTBYTES Audio Mixmaster & as for peripheral hardware I have a Peavey PVi (came with XLR cable) cardioid dynamic microphone - & that's it! Therefore, to sum things up, I need to know what to add/upgrade/replace & how to put it all together step by step. Bear in mind, as mentioned before, I am not going to be using any instruments, etc, only the microphone to be used to record onto backing trackings.
PLEASE advise!!
Looking forward to your responses!!
Thanks!!
