Need help mixing a complex song with brass, strings, piano, synth, bass, female...

Heres a sample of the work done so far its not in the exact order as i brought in all the instruments at once...This song is actually for my upcoming album but if i dont mix this song properly tis will be a shame

can someone please tell me if there are any rules in eqing and panning:

1) Strings
2) Piano
3) Brass
4) Synth

Or possibly suggest me some songs which may have the same instruments so I can learn from that and stuff...


So far I think I got the beat and the strings to fit together and I think I got the female singer to sit but I'm not sure what type of reverb to use...
Its just the brass and piano which keeps bugging me...

wow way to ambitious for me sorry I can't really help. So far it sounds good and has that nice hip hop drum machine going. I think the snare is a bit too bright? but that's just me.

But are you going to rap over it like you did in your video?

Yeah, the hihat and snare seem way too out front to me, to start with.

Oh this track won't be released for a while since I'm doing a collab with another rapper whos American...Basically east meets west lol
So the tune itself could change in time...

Would you know of any songs which may have similar instrumental arrangements which I can learn from?

Sorry can't think of anything. Most of the music I listen to doesn't really have too much instrumental arraignment, mainly just a 1-2-3-4, some noise and then its all over in about 1:30

Ive been brought up in pretty much every genre of music so Im quite tolerant to even pop stuff lol. Just because Im a mentally deranged lunatic when it comes to writing rap songs doesn't mean I cant still express my emotions on a song meant for "pop" people lol

I think what you have and the path your taking is fine. I don't think you need to go off what others are doing. I am sure there are others who have a better ear of managing the stereo landscape of so many instruments, so I will just shut up
