Hi all. I need some advice on what to get and how to hook it up. Here's what I want to do: I'd like to be able to take drum sounds and program them on my computer. I would like to also be able to make corrections (for when I hit the note late or something) on my computer. Then I woul like to be able to mix each individual drum volume in with the others, and send the whole kit to my recording machine. So I'm thinking I need a drum machine, but can that send the drums to my comp. seperatly? Then multitrack software. I also need to decide if it would be better to record the audio, or record them as mimi drums, but I have no experience with midi. Please help. Any recomendations would help me get on the right track. Here's what I have to work with:
Comp. with SB Live card with 1 MIDI in and 1 MIDI out.
Korg Keybord with midi in , out, and through (guess i could use that so I won't have to hit the drum machine pads???)
ROland VS1680 is my recording machine. Thanx in advance.
