preamp: -studio projects vtb1
-ReallyNicePreamp

I have a good headset and 1 pair of speakers

all stuff i had from back in the days dont know if VTB1 still working since I lost the powersupply.. =|

Were building a ''booth'' right now

Id like to know what YOU think I should invest on next,
new microphone, then new preamp? compressor?

(I only Record VOCALS)

thanks yall
im very outdated heh :)

pair of speakers
Without question, without fail, without challenge, the absolute most important part of any single recording rig on the planet is the monitoring chain.

The greatest gear in the world is worth a bowl of warm sinus fluid if you can't hear how it translates to the ear.

ok thank you, I guess your audio knowledge is greater than mine so..
What would you recommend as a pair of speakers
To monitor hiphop mixes, Vocals + Instrumental
I need something thats Good but something thats kinda cheap too  :(

I guess ill just look around the forum thanks

Check out the KRK line. . . they get pretty good reviews and are cheap as they get just about.

The VXT line especially is getting great reviews, if you have a small room you can get a pair of 4's used for like 300 a pair.....the 6's are where its at though, especially for hip hop you want some low end.

and yea massive mastering is pretty much an authority around here, Ive seldom if ever seen him wrong or even disagreed with what I read from him...or her I suppose....

Since you only Record vocals maybe its different for you.......By you only record vocals does that mean somebody else mixes them all for you, if so maybe you don't need monitors and that person does.....but still monitors are must have if your into audio recording.
