Need help for m-216

I want to connect my m-216 board a different way that I did, but I have a few problems. I was using my board in a very simple manner: keyboard in input tracks, and the main output to my digital multitrack wich have only 2 inputs.
I just bought a Korg Oasys pci card and I want to use it as a synth but also as an effect box. I don't have the manual of the mixer so it's not easy to me to figure how.
The RCA PGM out look like they are stereo? Is that possible? These PGM route the 4 subgroups which are mono? I want to route the output 1-2 to the multitrack but i'm not shure how to plug the thing. Also i want to dedicate one analogue output and one analogue input of the oasys card to the effect. Where the output goes (effect return?) and where the input goes (Output effect?). Again, I'm not shure how to do it.
Finally, what is the sub in? I try to hook the output of my multitrack there but I experienced some feedback.

Hi, I hope I can answer some of your questions.

The pgm rca out's are mono. There are 2 of them for each and give out the same signal. You can assign and pan a channel to send it to the pgm bus that you wish (don't know if this was obvious already ). You see, the pan and assign buttons have different number-combinations on them. For example, the combination 1-2 and 1-3 will send only to bus number 1. This way, you can route your signals to one of the pgm outputs that you want, e.g., 1, 2, 3 or 4. The pans of the pgm bus are different; they affect how the signal is sent from there to the main stereo bus.

The effects are plugged in as you described. But you can also plug the effect return to the line input of a channel and have more possibilities: eq and sending it to pgm bus.

Sub in is to attach an outboard mixer to the 216. You propably had feedback because you had attached the stereo output of the 216 to the input of the multitrack and then the output of the multitrack to the input of the 216, which would create a loop in the main stereo bus. Hope this helps!

I have a question also : How should I open the 216 for dusting the internals? From those 6 screws on the top or by taking the bottom plate off first? P.S. I'll give you the answer to this in 2 weeks if no-one else answers.

Thanks for the info, it is very helpfull.
I can tell you that I did open my board once by removing the bottom plate first. You turn the board upside down (beware of the knobs by putting a folded blanket or something smooth) remove the screw and then you have access to the internal. Good luck.
