I have a recording of an acoustic guitar playing some softer strumming higher up on the neck and the pick noise is at a level that is obnoxious. Are there any easy fixes for this, i.e. eq a freq range or do I just need to rerecord it? thanks -Aaron

i would rerecord. i use softer picks with acoustic, so the clicking is still there, but not overwhelming.

If you're slick, you can probably get rid of it with a side-chained compressor. Sort of the same idea as a De-esser.

Stop using thin picks.

Yep, Farview beat me to it...............use thick or stiffer picks.

Just take time to get used to the different feel before you start recording;).

I actually thought harder picks had less pick noise because they don't bend and slap the strings...am i wrong?
