Alright I'm back with my Blood and Thunder cover. I have 2 mixes that sound nearly identical but am finding myself going crazy over which one to pick.

Both have their downsides, the first one has too boomy of a bass tone IMO and in the second one the levels are good except the hi-hat and overhead mics are a bit low on the drum kit. The intro slightly distorted guitars on the second version are also relatively thinner sounding than those of the first.

I would go back and change the levels of the mics so that I could compromise on the mix, but I ever-so-stupidly saved over the project with a newer one that sounds even worse than both of them.

Anyway, if you could listen to the first 20 seconds or so of each and then tell me which one you prefer more would be super-awesome. Might need a sharp ear to pick out the differences though.

Thanks for your time.

I agree with Karumba, the second one is meaty ! The initial guitar is weak in both for my taste but the second still gets my vote. Whats your drum setup, I'm assuming its a widget ? Don't tell me it's you playing real drums !

Thanks a lot guys for the input.
My set up is Ez Drummer Drum Kit From Hell with the kick and snare replaced with Steven Slate Drum Samples with added external effects.

I finally just hit Ctrl+Shift+Delete and got a rid of the first mix. Problem solved haha, I only have 1 mix to work with xD
