need help choosing mixer

I have dell with 2.5 ghz XP sp3 512 ram. Need mixer with at least 3 xlr inputs to record simultaneously to 3 discrete channels/tracks in computer where I can edit. Looking at Alesis multimix usb 2. Will this do the job or other recommendations in similar price range?

I think the Alesis only records two tracks per pass. You need to download the manual to confirm the digital I/O performance.

Thanks good idea just did that. You're right about the multimix 8 usb 1, only 2 tracks per pass. The usb 2 model however seems to be able to record all 10 channels per pass. Here's a quote from the manual:
"Channels sent from the MultiMix to the computer-
The USB2.0 port sends every individual mixer channel as well as
the MultiMix’s MAIN OUT/2-TRACK OUT left and right signals
to the computer. This means that, for the MultiMix 8 USB2.0, 8
individual channels are sent to the computer along with the MAIN
stereo pair (10 channels in total)."
