Need help buying a mic

I'm trying to build a cheap recording setup for at home. I plan on recording electric, bass and acoustic guitars along with electric drums, maybe vocals too. My problem is finding a mic because there are so many to choose from. I need one that can record a low of 30hz or so for bass and that is relatively cheap like $100 and is the best quality for the money, will pay a little more if its worth it. Also I plan on buying a cheap mixer probably a used mackie 1202 vlz for around $100 and any $100 dollar sound card off new egg. My goal is to have a recording setup for under $350 total. Any advice would be great, also I already have cubase.

you probably don't want to buy "any $100 dollar sound card off new egg". Save that money and the money that you have for the mixer and put it all towards an interface. you'll need an interface that can record two tracks at a time for your electric drums.
for a mic, you don't really need something that gets down to 30Hz for bass, you can get great results from recording an electric bass DI. an SM57/58 will get you started on electric guitars and vocals. for acoustic guitar you'll eventually want to look into a condenser, but you can get good results and have fun experimenting even with the same 57/58. that being said, there are lots of equivalents/superiors to the SM57/58, some that are considerably cheaper.
you can still get out of this for under $350, might need to buy used, but definitely read the stickies and figure out where to direct your funds.
