Someone tell me what to do with it!!! ha
Okay! The kick drum needs less mid and more bass. Or is that the snare? The kit as a whole needs some more reverb. Right now the drums sound too sibiliant (trebly) yet the cymbal doesn't come forward enough, which is irritating throughout the whole piece. So push back, reverb up (maybe compress a little or just simple EQ) and bring back up, aiming it at the middle distance. You can bring the cymbal treble up if you want, to compensate but push the mids back on that snare. More bass & verb on the kick to add atmosphere.
I like your style and this reminds me of early Metallica, except you've learned early on, much quicker than they, that a metal instrumental doesn't have to last an entire side of the LP (if talkin' vinyl). However, just as I was getting into it, it seemed to finish too early... Sounds to me like potential for one of those 80's metal epics... If you see what I mean?
The guitar is obviously your strong point and probably what you excell in. Therefore, you just need to concentrate on your drums. These sound synthetic (as I guess they are) but you can beef them up by mixing them more carefully. Have you listened to the drum track in isolation? If not, then do so. You need to solo those drums and listen to the kit as though it were to be presented alone. If the sound is exciting and stands up in it's own right, (gets you rockin') then it's ready to serve with the rest. More importantly, it needs to sound more natural - and alive! Then remix the whole thing, to ensure the parts co-operate with each other in the mix.
Otherwise, dude, with your standard of guitar, you've pretty much got the artform nailed!
Hope this helps.
