Need Advice Plz

Hey Everyone,

I'm in highschool and definately not made of money lol. All us guys have a band, I occasionally play but dont have the times the others do. It's four person band for most songs.

Keyboard, Drums, Base, Two Electrics in some songs.
Drums, Base, Either Two Electrics Or 1 Electric and 1 Acoustic in Most songs.
Drums, Acoustic in a couple songs.

So since none of us have any money to spend, this is what we are attempting to do. We want to record onto a laptop. We did this once and it worked not too shabby but my demo program cut out at a minute

What we do is basically stick a mic in the middle of the basement and everyone's playing around it. The mic goes straight to the computer and that's how we record. Everything is hooked to two amps. We are gonna be recording on Saturday all day. Problem is I need a free download program which will record up to five minutes.

If you know of a program please please please please please let me know!

Obviously, you're not trying to go for "pro" quality sound, and you probably know that you are not going to get it going that route, so here is a link to a site that has tons of recording software. I imagine others may chime in and give you other ideas:
