Need advice on what sound card to buy???

What would be the best sound card for computer recording
that you know of? I need somthing with a digital imput.

"Best" can mean different things. What's your budget? What kind of digital input do you need -- SPDIF? ADAT?

Quite right. Ten respondants will give ten different recommendations.

A good place to start would be to head over to your preferred sequencer's Internet site and search for recommended soundcards.

Then zip over to Zzounds and check out the prices of the cards and their software bundles.

That should give a good idea of how to pick the one you want.

Price & features is what it's all about. Oh, and try to avoid Creative cards, most folks round these parts don't regard them as ideal for serious recording work.
