Okay,

I've been tinkering with Addictive Drums for the past few weeks and I absolutely love it. However, I currently use N-Track for my PC work. I want to continue using N-Track because I've come to master it and am very pleased with the results...that being said, N-Track kinda sucks for drum programming. I've been messing with it for weeks and I can't get AD working right with it. So, what I'm looking for is a low cost solution to create my drum parts in another program, them dump those results into N-Track for my final mixing.

So my question is, what is a low cost and simple software program that is geared toward midi editing (particularly drums) that I can use for just this one application? I've looked at FL, Sonor, Ableton etc. and they're all $300 - $400 which is too much to spend for this one application. I heard someone say Reaper was good for midi drums, but I couldn't get it to recognize the AD plugin in its effects library. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I edited my original post. It's not Reason, it was Reaper I was told was inexpensive and worked well with midi drums. So, my question is now regarding Reaper. I've got it up and running and it located and recognized every effect in my PC from all of my N-Track plugins to my Sound Forge plugs...but it does not locate Addictive Drums which is very odds since it is just a VST which Reaper supports. Any ideas out there gang? Reaper is cheap and effective and if I can get Addictive Drums running with it this will be a great solution to my issue. Please help.

Thanks

Hmmm. It should show up in the FX, but you might want to ask around the Reaper forums....
